Meditation is a powerful tool that benefits us in a multitude of ways. It helps us create the space we need to think and feel clearly and as a result, we feel reduced stress, a greater sense of connection, and enhanced joy (among other great benefits, that we’ll learn about!).

In this course, we will learn some of the science behind meditation, practice different types of meditation, figure out how to make meditation work for YOU,

Course Overview:

Each session will include at least two different meditations, ranging from 3-12 minutes.  It will also include some teaching of concepts, techniques, research, etc. as well as discussion and sharing from the group. 

To help tailor the course overall and each session specifically, you will receive a pre-course questionnaire.  Filling this out will help you reflect on where you are and want to go with this course and your meditation practice, but also help me really meet your needs.

Over the 8 weeks of this course, we will dive deep into topics like: 

  • The purpose and potential of mindfulness

  • Meditation “anchors”

  • Using the body as a barometer for awareness

  • Noticing and adjusting our relationship with our thoughts

  • Transferring meditation to real life

  • Compassion and loving-kindness

  • Keeping your mindfulness practice fresh and flexible

The course will be designed in a progression.  Starting with, practicing, and reevaluating the basics; all the way to maintaining your relationship with meditation for the long-term.

Registration ends the day before each section starts!

8 weeks, Tuesdays at 7:45AM PT, OR Thursdays at 5:00 PM PT, (75 mins via ZOOM).

We are so excited to offer this course at a lower rate than most live meditation courses of this quality.  To keep it even more accessible, we are offering 2-4 scholarships (10% of participants will be scholarships) and a sliding scale course fee.

Consider what rate would be just uncomfortable enough to make you really value the experience, but not so uncomfortable you are going to stress about money and not meet other important costs in your life.  At the higher rate, consider your additional contribution supporting those who are currently under financial stress and not able to make the full payment.

Why this course?

Blake Cason, founder of Pivot Wellness and course facilitator, has been teaching and coaching mindfulness specifically for 8 years.  Having taught everywhere from college courses, corporate boardrooms, to long-time practitioners, her style is both informed and flexible.  Blake has been fortunate to be trained by experts like Tara Brach, The Flourishing Center, and studied the practice and approach of many more like Sharon Salzberg and Jack Kornfield.  

Pivot’s approach to wellness is based on current neuroscience, positive psychology, and master coaching practices that guide the individuals to their truth with curiosity.  More than that, though, our approach is relatable, adjustable, and down-to-earth, because science isn’t helpful if you can’t grasp it.  If that isn’t enough, our 10-year history of delivering powerful, life-changing courses, groups, and 1:1 coaching might be!
